GT Breakers
|
USA - Florida |
GT Breakers -
http://breakdancecrew.com
Originally starting as a group of college friends in northwest Florida
who combined breaking with comedy acts to catch the audience's
off-guard, the GT Breakers eventually went online with
breakdancecrew.com. After rising popularity of their website, the
true name of the crew faded, and most people simply refer to them as
"the guys from BreakdanceCrew."

Rock
Steady Crew
Mr.
Wiggles |
USA
- New York |
The
Rock Steady Crew was established in 1977 by Bronx b.boys Jimmy D and
Jojo. When they started this crew in the streets of the Bronx, they had
no idea that someday it would take them all around the world. Only the
best b.boys were down with Rock Steady. They had rivals in all five
boroughs of New York and for every rival there were ten kids who wanted
to be down with them. However, getting into the crew was not easy. To
get into Rock Steady you had to battle one of the other b.boys in the
crew. It was a competition few people won.

Rubberband
Dance Group |
CANADA
- MONTREAL |
Hailing
from Montreal, Canada, the Rubberband Dance Group seamlessly integrates
modern and Hip Hop dance aesthetic forms to create unique and innovative
works.
"Is it Art?
Breaker breaker: Dancers are setting up shop
at Just for Laughs’ Urban Expressions stage (corner of St-Denis and de
Maisonneuve), perhaps none as unusual as the Rubberband Dance Group.
Formed by Victor Quijada, formerly of Les Grands Ballets, the
Rubberbanders put a strange spin on staid old breakdancing, pulling out
those crazy moves to a classical music soundtrack, among other
permutations on the form." [c/o the Montreal
Mirror, "the Arts-This Week," July 18, 2002]

Spartanic
Rockers |
Switzerland
& Japan |
As
DefIce was the founder of our crew, he was also the one who came
up with its name. A name with which he wanted to show all others what
the ideas behind this crew were and still are.
The
Spartans were Greek warriors - the hardest, toughest and most
brutal ones. Everybody was afraid of them and they lived a very hard and
simple life (that's where the word "spartan" arised from) to
focus on the most important thing: the battle. They didn't like
half-hearted things and situations. They did everything with maximum
employment. And regardless of what happend they always sticked together
and fought for each other.

more information about their International formation and battles please
